The White Stone of Tashan
What happens after death? Do we cease to exist, or do we continue to live in another form? Moreover, what happens to those who ar longing for us? In this performance, we will explore the boundary between animate and inanimate using natural materials. In a poetic and tangible theatrical world, a space will be created where the living and the dead can meet.
The performance will be based on an old Tsou (indigenous people of central southern Taiwan) legend of Mount Tashan, where the souls of the dead dwell. It’s a story about grief, the power of love and the tight bond between people and nature.
