鄰近冬山河、座落於利澤老街旁的「利澤國際偶戲藝術村」，為宜蘭老穀倉整建活化而成的建築群，也是全台唯一的當代偶戲藝術園區。
藝術村以偶戲發展交流為核心，是宜蘭重要的藝術聚落與文化地景之一，也是台灣的國際偶戲人才孵育基地和創發中心。融入當代偶劇場領航者–「無獨有偶工作室劇團」的偶戲創作能量，用心打造成為偶戲創作、藝文互動體驗與展演教育推廣的迷人創意空間。藝術村包含有：戲偶展示館、專業製偶工廠、藝術家工作室、排練場、展演空間，是亞洲最具規模的當代偶戲創作基地。
利澤國際偶戲藝術村透過駐村藝術家與藝術節策劃，舉辦各式常態型與季節性活動，包含「偶戲村學堂」（如工作坊、講座、課程等）、「偶戲表演」、「大師班」等，以及舉辦微型藝術節如「Open Day: 卡樂趴」、「Open Lab: 駐村藝術家成果展」與「利澤偶聚祭」，邀請國內外精彩的偶戲演出一同匯聚利澤，讓民眾來到偶戲村能深入體驗偶戲的豐富內涵與美妙之處。
About Lize Puppet Art Colony
Lìzé Puppet Art Colony, Taiwan’s first art colony dedicated to contemporary puppetry, revitalizes a barn in Yilan into a dynamic creative hub. Built upon “Puppet and Its Double Theater’s” 25-year legacy, it explores puppetry’s possibilities while offering interactive cultural experiences. As a global center for puppetry, it serves as both a training base and a connection point for Taiwanese puppet artists to the world. With exhibition spaces, a professional puppet workshop, studios, rehearsal halls, and performance areas, it stands as one of the largest multipurpose spaces for contemporary puppetry.
The regular programs taking place here include artist-in-resident projects, puppetry workshops, masterclasses, festival, collaboration projects, and an international network bringing performances from other countries together, followed by in-depth tours related to the art of puppetry and the Lìzé International Puppet Festival to make puppetry more accessible to Taiwanese of all ages and to make an impressive globalized presence on the international space.
「利澤國際偶戲藝術村」以「村落」為名，在面向國際的同時，依然謙卑扎根於這片富饒的土地。藝術村持續從利澤聚落的歷史與人文養分中汲取能量，轉化並融入台灣在地特色文化，並將藝術資源投入各式社區活動。透過駐村藝術家計畫、特聘創作與藝術節慶等品牌活動，將藝術與利澤簡地區的生活環境緊密連結，在提升藝術參與意願的同時，也帶動周邊環境的美學活力與經濟效益，讓村落特色被更多人看見與認識，持續深化並擴大在地文化的影響力。
The Lize Puppet Art Colony carries the name of a “village” to remind us that while reaching toward the international stage, we remain humbly grounded in this fertile land. Drawing inspiration from the history and cultural heritage of the Lize community, the colony integrates Taiwan’s local traditions into contemporary practice and invests artistic resources into community activities.
Through artist-in-residence programs, commissioned works, and arts festivals, we closely connect art with the daily life and environment of Lize. These initiatives not only encourage broader participation in the arts but also energize the surrounding community with cultural vitality and economic benefits. In doing so, we bring greater visibility to the unique character of the village, deepening and expanding the influence of local culture.
我們以打造「國際級偶戲交流平台」為願景，多年來積極推動具國際視野的交流活動，提供專業的製偶、排練與創作空間，以及完善的人力與資源，成為探索偶戲新形式的最佳起點。推動多年的「駐村藝術家計畫」，更吸引國內外各領域藝術家前來，透過村內豐富的設施與資源，藝術家能多面向展開探索、進行創作，逐漸成為全球偶戲工作者口耳相傳的重要據點。在這裡，藝術不僅被孕育與交流，更成為推動台灣走向國際偶戲舞台的重要力量，讓利澤國際偶戲藝術村成為承載創意與影響力的孵化平台。
With the vision of becoming an international platform for puppetry exchange, the Lize Puppet Art Colony has, over the years, actively promoted cross-cultural collaborations. Equipped with professional facilities for puppet-making, rehearsals, and creation, along with comprehensive human resources, the colony serves as an ideal starting point for exploring new forms of puppetry.
Our long-running artist-in-residence program continues to attract creators from Taiwan and abroad. Supported by the colony’s rich resources, artists are able to explore, experiment, and create from multiple perspectives, making Lize a renowned destination among puppetry practitioners worldwide. Here, art is not only nurtured and shared—it also fuels Taiwan’s presence on the global puppetry stage, establishing the Lize Puppet Art Colony as a vital incubator for creativity and influence.
